The most recent addition of an August 17 show at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, will be the final U.S. update for the year, according to the legendary musician's official website. A 12-hour block has been carved out for ticket presales on July 13, and general onsales for the Tulsa show open on July 20.

The setlist for McCartney's upcoming shows will feature hits from all decades of his career -- from his time with The Beatles and Wings to his more recent solo work, including tunes from the November 2008 album "Electric Arguments," released under the alias The Fireman.

According to published reports, McCartney was hesitant to call his small-scale summer plans a "tour," since he would not be making complete rounds of the U.S. and Canada. The acclaimed musician reportedly wanted to minimize his time on the road so he could remain close to family and one of his residences in the U.S."

Says ChadKroeger of the new tour and album:" We just do it the way bands used to do it. We didn't adhere to it, we just did it. Record. Album. Go on the road. Stay on the road forever, until everyone is sick of that album. Go back to the studio and make a new album. Go on the road. That's it," Kroeger said. "We want to go back to all those towns and have those people show up and want to sing rock-and-roll songs twice as loud back at us as we are singing it to them, and that's why we keep doing what we're doing. This is a good gig. It's a lot of fun. It's every young kid's dream. ...We all just want to be rock stars and live in hilltop houses driving 15 cars."
